The story follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band he vows to organize - this despite the fact he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by the end.

Kensington Arts Theatre is thrilled to announce the launch of BRAVO@KAT, Theatre for Young Artists, and with it the opportunity for lovers of musical theater in grades 3 through 8 to perform the best of Broadway. This new theater group for young artists will add a third stage to KAT's already impressive lineup and add to its service to the Kensington community. Now children from this area, as well as from all over Montgomery County, will have a chance to perform in shows that range from the Golden Age classics to today's smash hits.
